Art and level design examples
Depending on the game, I usually design:
the art style, assets, animations, story, levels, puzzles, sounds, sometimes I also compose music and write song lyrics or dialogue.
In my solo games I also prototype and implement gameplay (in GDevelop).

"Karambola" trailer
"Karambola" is my first solo point-and-click puzzle game, fully hand-drawn, in which you help out emotional fruit-people deal with their dark thoughts by solving logical, visual or musical puzzles.
The game was recognized by many popular magazines and attended international festivals, including a nomination at A MAZE Awards in Berlin.

"Odgłos" trailer. See full gameplay
A stop-motion story about a cute owl traveling through a surreal multiverse of sounds, sourced exclusively from Polish Radio Experimental Studio - a birthplace of electronic music in Poland.
We aimed to recreate the experimental process of creation developed by PRES.
I was responsible for the design of the visuals, story and puzzles.
"Odgłos" was made together with S. Krzyszkowiak, produced by Adam Mickiewicz Institute and Vitruvio Foundation, and financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland as part of the multi-annual programme NIEPODLEGŁA 2017–2022.
Together with its precursor "Odlot", it was presented at the Digital Cultures festival in Warsaw (2019) with lecture "Far-out Sounds - a game promoting the Polish Radio Experimental Studio" about the creative process of making the games (as part of "Facts/ True stories being the true stories" section).

"Rumina" trailer v. 1.0
Help animals in a magical forest deal with their troubling emotions, distorted perception of reality, broken self-image etc. In the forest everything is connected by mycelium and scene elements can be interacted with from afar.
I was designing art, story and puzzles, and prototyped a 2D demo, which was later developed into 2.5D together with S. Krzyszkowiak.
"Rumina" was showcased at A MAZE Berlin and later put on hold due to financing difficulties.
Ideas for endless runner type gameplay, story and characters with visuals and notes (Individual client)
"Odlot" was made for Geek Game Jam, which main theme was to use sound creations from the archives of Polish Radio Experimental Studio.
It was also inspired by Polish vintage animations. The game encourages to find fun in the mundane and discover the soul of everyday objects.
It won the 1st prize in Geek Game Jam in Poznań, organised by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute and Game Industry Conference (2018) - with a contract to make it into a longer game called "Odgłos".

My idea here was to play with inversions - we need to lead the mouse to her new home, but the background is only visible through the bodies of the characters, in which the little mouse can feel safe and recognise her surroundings.
"Rukavychka" won 2nd prize from the Ministry of Digital Affairs of Poland in United With Ukraine Game Jam in Warsaw (2022).

The game was inspired by Ukrainian legend of "Rukavychka" - in which the titular glove became a home for many forest animals big and small. The main characters are the fox from the Ukrainian tale, and Wawel Dragon from Polish legends, that lead a little mouse home, symbolising working together to bring a safe future for everyone, including animals.
For the style I was inspired by traditional floral patterns for the backgrounds (created with watercolors and ink). I also focused on colors from the Ukrainian flag and important Ukrainian flowers like sunflower or Vinca species.
Once upon a time there was a drone called Bobby. Bobby crashed and was taken care of by a family of overprotective spiders.
Teach drone Bobby how to dance like a spider to avoid any heartbreaking casualties!
Made at GryfJam in Szczecin (2017).

I like to diversify my tasks - brainstorming, drawing, editing, writing, crafting, taking photos, composing, programming... My brain needs novelty and switching assignments from time to time is the most effective for me.
